Artist: J. Carlos Casado

Artist Statement: b. 1971, J.Carlos Casado is a multimedia artist from Spain currently working in NYC. He recently graduated from a MFA in Computer Arts in the School of Visual Arts in NY. Casado uses technologies to create art pieces, usually Installations that involve video, animation and interactivity.He has shown his work in several solo and group shows in Spain, Croatia, Finland, Britain, Italy and USA. He has also won several prices and recognitions for his work. Some examples are:His first short art animation (bin10sex) has been selected in 5 International Film and Video Art Festivals, including Sundance Film Festival 2000. Documentation of his new project has been selected so far in 3 International Video Art Festivals. He is currently working to finish this project:“pandora’s box (revisited)”, an Interactive Video Installation. This Installation will be shown among others pieces at an individual exhibition in Picasso Foundation Museum in Málaga, Spain, next year, and then in a private Gallery in Madrid, Spain, afterwards.
