Artist: Michael Rees Artist Statement: Michael Rees is a new media sculpture. He has exhibited his work in Europe and the United States both in private and public venues. He is collected by the Whitney Museum of American Art and by the Edelman Foundation in Luzern< Switzerland. He was included in the 1995 Whitney Biennial and in Michael Rees: Digital Psche at Kemper Museum of Comtepory Art. In 2001 his work is included in the Whitney Museum exhibition Bitstreams curated by Lawrence Rinder. He also wins a Creative Capital grant for his collaborative project with artist Chris Burnett called a Sculptural User Interface.
